St. Paddy's Day

Along with New Year's and Cinco de Mayo, 17 March is my favorite holiday. Admittedly, it does give both burpose and theme to my drinking, which is always fun. They also serve as really good excuses to go out and/or have parties. Not that I've ever needed a reason, but more people get involved due to the occasion. Tonight, Kellie and I are headed to New Orleans to take place in its brand of revelry, but we are also going so that I can see a couple of visitors from out of town: my cousin Brian and my friend Adam who is home from Iraq. Should make for a fun night.

Tomorrow, back in Baton Rouge, we get our first taste of crawfish. I've heard that this season won't be the best, but I'm looking forward to it nonetheless. Also tomorrow, LSU plays its second-round game of the NCAA tournament. They play Texax A&M. I hate A&M. LSU MUST WIN! And you all should watch. Anyway, feel free to share your St. Paddy's plans and happenings, and everyone feel bad for Chris since he has to spend the weekend in Shreveport (aka Jesusland).

Jesusland... yeah. It's 5pm on Saturday, and I've been in this office since 8am. Ugh. Server's coming along well, and the Director here came in and we reconfigured just about the whole suite. Much improved.

So I forgot that I need a SCSI card for the server, so there will be no tape backup unit right now. I also forget to write files to the CD before running out of the office, so I don't have any documents to start them off with. What an impressive I.T. guy I am. Ha sigh.

And Orbitz lied... my hotel doesn't have internet...

So drink a lot for me.

Well, I definitely have the drinking covered. Last nights celebration basically ran into a crawfish boil earlier today, and now I'm working on a six pack while watching the LSU game. Sounds like you're having a blast there though, no internet = no bueno.

St. Patty's was fun. But not as fun as that LSU game. And I don't even like basketball. But man, I wanna have that guy who made that last 3-pointer's baby. Sorry to hear you're overloaded, C. And Matt...crawfish? SO jealous.

That game was incredible, but only because it ended well. It was very annoying to watch because of the way A&M plays. They basically threw bodies at Glen Davis everytime he had the ball, and LSU couldn't hit their open shots in the last part of the first half and well into the second half. Darrell Mitchell, however, is a stud. He basically did the same thing in the regular season against Arkansas. Of course, for all this, LSU gets to play Duke.

I have also found that casino hotels aren't especially keen on providing you with Internet service. They probably want dropping coins in the slots and not in your room surfing the 'net. Go figure.
